Second Samuel 22 IS Psalm 18, which we have covered in a previous post.

So I direct you to that prior post if you missed it.

The only thing I would remind you of is that the Psalms are Prophecy. Yes, David is expressing his triumph here, but this is every bit as much Christ expressing His victory over death and the Kingdom of Darkness. (Indeed, we may hear the Lord Himself sing this Psalm somewhere around the events of Revelation 19.)

You may want to make a note in your Bible to read Psalm 18 / 2 Samuel 22 on Resurrection morning. It is (I believe) Jesus’ POV (point of view) of the Resurrection.
